Difference between French braid and Dutch braid

A French braid is a type of braid that starts at the top of the head and adds sections of hair from the sides to the original braid. A Dutch braid is a type of variation on the French braid also known as the inverse or reversed French braid. It is braided by bringing the hair under the other stands rather than over as is the case with the French braid.
